It used today as a representation of Christian beliefs and can still be seen in many churchyards throughout the Celtic nations of Ireland and The Isle of Man. Originally though the cross was a pagan symbol but adopted into Christianity as the nations themselves responded to the Christian missionaries who fished the Irish sea.
